Basketball fans will have a real basketball feast on Sunday afternoon at the Koło hall in Warsaw's Wola district. The capital's Dziki will host the Górnik Trans.eu Zamek Książ Wałbrzych team in the hit of the Suzuki 1 Men's League, a team that, alongside "Wataha", is considered one of the main favorites to win the entire league. The spice of Sunday's competition is added by the fact that we will see Bartosz Majewski - a former Dziki player - in the Wałbrzych team.
Górnik's team is a finalist in the first league games of the last two seasons - while in the current campaign the team from Wałbrzych is in fifth place in the league table with a balance of three wins and one defeat. In the Lower Silesian team before the start of the 22/23 season there were several interesting transfers and changes on the coaching bench. The "white and blue" leaders, after three years of cooperation, decided to part ways with coach Łukasz Grudniewski and in his place they employed Marcin Radomski - a former coach of Decki Pelplin, Miasto Szkła Krosno, and Nysa Kłodzko.
Lower Silesia has also hired several excellent players with a recognized league brand. Górnik fans are certainly most pleased with the fact that Adrian Kordalski has joined their club, a player who introduced the Czarni Słupsk team to the Energa Basket Liga in the 2020/2021 season. "Kordal" has already shown in the current games what a versatile and effective basketball player he is. His current average statistics are at the level of: 19 points, 5 rebounds and over 6 assists per game. Stopping Górnik's playmaker will certainly be the most difficult task for the "wild" defense.

It won't be easy for our basket-makers either, because coach Radomski has one of the best centers in the entire league - Piotr Niedźwiedzki . The popular "Niedźwiedź" is a 211 cm tall experienced center with a huge reach of his arms, whose main weapon is effective blocks. The Wild will certainly also have to watch out for Mikołaj Stopierzyński and the previously mentioned Bartosz Majewski. "Stopa" is a classic taskmaster who does well both in attack and defense. On the other hand, "Major" is a versatile basketball player, who can play in positions 1 to 3, has a quick first step, a deadly shot from distance and courage in basket penetration.
- We are going to the match with Dziki motivated and in a fighting spirit. We want to test ourselves against a very strong opponent and see where we are at the moment. Personally, I feel excited and happy to be back in Warsaw. I hope the fans will be there and we will try to put on a great show - said Bartek Majewski before the match.

- The mood before the match is similar to that before any other. We are happy that we are playing another match and with a top-level opponent. You don't need additional motivation for such matches and everyone knows that this competition will be difficult and we have to be prepared as best we can. As the week goes on, we get to know the system and the entire team from Wałbrzych. I think we will be ready for the clash with Górnik. We can't wait for Sunday! - said the captain of the Warsaw team, Grzegorz Grochowski .
