The next player who will strengthen the Polish rotation in our team is Mateusz Szlachetka.
Mateusz is 196 cm tall and can play as a point guard or shooting guard.
The 24-year-old has played in Poland's youth national teams in the past. He has also played in 3x3 basketball teams. In 2022, he won the U-23 World Championship with the 3x3 team and was named the tournament's MVP.
Szlachetka has recently become a key player in the senior Polish national basketball team in 3x3. He has already achieved his first success with the team, which was the bronze medal at the European Games in Krakow in June this year.
During his career, Mateusz played for GTK Gliwice, Trefl Sopot and Śląsk Wrocław, with whom he won the bronze medal at the Polish Championships in 2021.
Szlachetka spent the last season in GTK Gliwice. He played in 30 games, in which he scored an average of 9 points and recorded 2.9 rebounds and assists per game.
Dziki Warszawa’s debut season in Energa Basket will begin in the fall of 2023.
