Tomorrow the Wild will play their first home match in the new year.
Our opponent will be a well-known team, WKK Wrocław. We have played each other five times so far. Dziki have won three times (including the October match in Wrocław).
WKK is listed among the biggest "downside" surprises of the first half of the season. The team, which includes serious names with top-league experience (Ochońko, Gabiński), one of the best under-the-basket players in the league (Kiwilsza) and a considerable youth talent (Wilczek) is playing well below expectations this season.
One might think that Dziki have an easy task ahead of them. Nothing of the sort. WKK has already proven that it can mobilize for matches with teams from the top of the table (wins against Kotwica Kołobrzeg and SKS Starogard Gdański). There is no shortage of talent in this team and the pack will have to approach the match with maximum concentration to record another victory.
The key, as always, will be the intensity of the defense. The Wild are the league's best defense, and that's the result of hard work and putting a lot of energy into their defense.
We keep our fingers crossed that the pack, supported by the warm support of the Warsaw audience, will achieve another victory on Saturday.
