WKK Wrocław vs Dziki Warszawa - zapowiedź

WKK Wrocław vs Dziki Warsaw - preview

After a successful start to the 22/23 season, the capital's Dziki are heading to Lower Silesia to face the WKK Wrocław team in the second round of the Suzuki 1 men's league. It is worth noting that the Warsaw team and the WKK team have some scores to settle, because in the previous games, the Wrocław team came out on top twice in clashes with Krzysztof Szablowski's team. The defeat in Wrocław was particularly painful, in which the WKK basketball players crushed the Dziki 88:56. The fact that we will see Karol Nowakowski , a former "Wataha" player, playing for the WKK team adds an additional flavor to Saturday's competition. The 23-year-old winger played for the Warsaw club in 37 games last season, averaging: 8.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 steals.

The opening of the season was a happy one for both teams - WKK defeated Sensation Kotwica Kołobrzeg 66:64 away after a very exciting match, while Dziki dealt with the Enea Basket Poznań team 62:54. Szymon Kiwilsza played a great game in the Lower Silesian team, scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds against Kotwica. Michał Gabiński also played well - he scored 11 points, had 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The aforementioned duo also had support from Dominik Rutkowski , who added 13 "points". Krzysztof Szablowski 's basketball players, in turn, inaugurated the games in their own hall, facing the league newcomer from Poznań. The match was certainly not easy or pleasant, but in the end it ended in the hosts' favor. Dziki was led to victory by the team's new acquisition - Alan Czujowski . The experienced winger scored 14 points, added 3 rebounds, 2 assists and an impressive block. Other debutants also played well: Michał Aleksandrowicz, who had a double-double (11 pts. 10 rebounds) and Mateusz Bartosz (8 pts. 10 rebounds).

The club's board did not set a specific goal for the team. I think that this goal will become clear during the season. We, on the other hand, are to be a team that will fight for 40 minutes on both sides of the court, regardless of the result of the match. We selected players for the team with this in mind. We were looking for players who would not give up and would be ready to work hard – this is how coach Sebastian Potoczny said about his team before the season. A team was created in Wrocław that is a mixture of routine and experience with youth. The first group is represented by players such as Tomasz Ochończko and the previously mentioned Michał Gabiński. The second group includes: Maksymilian Wilczek , Mikołaj Kowalczyk , Michał Nowak and Maciej Zabłocki . If we add to this players with a recognized league brand such as: Zywert , Koelner or Matusiak , then on paper we will have a very strong team, ready to fight with the best in the league.

The Wild Ones, as we mentioned in the introduction, have a score to settle with the Wrocław team and will certainly do everything on Saturday to return from Lower Silesia with two points. The Warsaw team worked hard during the week in training to improve their attacking play and eliminate the mistakes that led to 25 losses in the match with Basket Poznań. - It's nice to start the season with a win, but we know that what we showed in the first round is not the peak of our abilities. We know that there is still a lot to improve, so we started the week with a very detailed analysis of our game in the match with Poznań. The coach prepared material from this match for us, which we discussed in great detail. We focused on both the good and bad aspects of our game. We have been training intensively since Tuesday and we are gradually increasing its intensity to enter Saturday's match as well as possible. The mood in the team is very good, even combative, because we really want to get back at the WKK team for two defeats in the last games. You could say that we want to avenge that season. We are in good spirits, we train hard, and how you train – that's how you play. I hope this rule will work in Wrocław. We believe in ourselves and we are going for victory – said Przemek Kuźkow .

The match between Dziki Warszawa and WKK Wrocław is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. The match will be broadcast by emocja.tv.
